Lafera Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lafera handles information when you use the app to prepare scripts, display teleprompter text, record with your device camera and microphone, save recordings, manage local sessions, use account-based services, and make in-app coin purchases.

1. Information You Provide

You may provide script text, script titles, rehearsal notes, display preferences, recording settings, support messages, account details, profile information, and other content you choose to enter or upload. This information is used to provide the app experience, maintain your settings, support account features, and respond to your requests.

You are responsible for the scripts, recordings, images, messages, and other content you create or submit through Lafera. Please do not provide content that you do not have the right to use or share.

2. Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Local Files

Lafera may request camera and microphone permission so you can record video or audio while reading teleprompter text. The app may request photo library or file access so you can save recordings, attach media, or choose content for app features. You can change these permissions in your device settings.

Recordings and locally saved scripts may remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to your device backup and operating system settings.

3. Account, Device, and Usage Information

When account-based services are used, Lafera may process identifiers such as user ID, login status, device identifiers, authentication tokens, and basic profile or preference data. The app may also process app version, device type, operating system version, crash data, diagnostic events, purchase status, and feature usage events needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Lafera may use attribution and analytics services to understand app installs, logins, purchases, and related app events. Where required, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission before accessing tracking-related identifiers.

4. Purchases and App Store Processing

Lafera offers one-time in-app coin purchases through the App Store. Apple processes payment information and may provide us with product identifiers, transaction status, receipts, purchase history needed to credit coins, and other purchase confirmation data. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to operate teleprompter and recording features, save or restore settings, manage account access, credit coins, prevent duplicate purchase credit, protect the service, troubleshoot issues, provide support, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability and user experience.

6. Service Providers and Platform Services

We may share information with service providers that help operate hosting, account services, analytics, attribution, diagnostics, customer support, security, and payment-related functions. Apple and App Store services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your scripts or recordings for public posting or third-party advertising unless a separate feature is clearly offered and you choose to use it.

7. Retention and Security

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, maintain purchase and account records, resolve support requests, comply with law, prevent fraud, and protect our rights. Local data remains subject to your device settings and deletion choices. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate for a mobile app, but no storage method, device, network, or service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Choices and Requests

  • You can edit or delete local scripts and recordings where the app provides those controls.
  • You can change camera, microphone, photo library, and tracking permissions in device settings.
  • You can use in-app controls to log out or request account deletion where account features are available.
  • You can contact us to ask about privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests.

9. Children

Lafera is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or support channels, please contact us so we can review the request.

10. International Processing and Updates

Your information may be processed in locations where we or our service providers operate. We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The updated policy will be identified by a new effective date or another notice within the app.
